Acceptance of Terms These Terms and Conditions form a legally binding agreement between you and TaskTeddy ("we", "us", "our") governing your use of the TaskTeddy website and mobile application (together, the "Platform"). By accessing or using the Platform you accept these Terms, our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Cancellation Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Platform. ## 2. Nature of the Service TaskTeddy is an online marketplace that connects customers who need household and personal tasks done ("Customers") with independent service providers ("Taskers") who bid to perform them. Customers post a task at their own price, Taskers submit competing bids, and payment is released only after the Customer confirms completion. TaskTeddy acts as an intermediary within the meaning of the Information Technology Act, 2000 and as a marketplace e-commerce entity under the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020. TaskTeddy does not itself perform the tasks and is not the employer of any Tasker. ## 3. Eligibility & Accounts You must be at least 18 years of age and competent to contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872 to create an account or use the Platform. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration, to maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials, and to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. ## 4. How the Platform Works Customers describe a task, set their own price, and choose a schedule. Verified Taskers review the task and submit bids. The Customer may compare bids, chat with Taskers, and accept the offer that suits them. The agreed amount is collected securely and held by our payment partners; it is released to the Tasker only after the Customer confirms the task has been completed. The final price is the one agreed between Customer and Tasker on the Platform; any platform or convenience fees are shown clearly before you confirm a booking. ## 5. Taskers Are Independent Contractors Taskers are independent contractors, not employees, agents, or representatives of TaskTeddy. TaskTeddy conducts identity verification and background checks on Taskers before they can accept work, but the contract for performing a task is between the Customer and the Tasker. Taskers are solely responsible for the quality and workmanship of their services, for their own taxes, and for complying with laws applicable to their trade. Nothing in this section limits your rights under the TaskTeddy Quality Guarantee (Section 9) or under applicable consumer protection law. ## 6. Payments, Pricing & Fees All payments are processed through RBI-authorised third-party payment gateways. TaskTeddy does not store your full card or bank details. Prices are set by Customers and agreed through bidding; TaskTeddy does not manipulate prices or discriminate between users of the same class. Any fees charged by TaskTeddy will be disclosed to you before you confirm a transaction. Refunds and cancellations are governed by our Cancellation Policy. ## 7. User Conduct You agree not to: (a) use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or to request illegal work; (b) harass, threaten, or discriminate against any Tasker, Customer, or staff member; (c) post false, misleading, or fraudulent tasks, bids, or reviews; (d) circumvent the Platform by taking bookings or payments off-platform after connecting through TaskTeddy; (e) distribute spam or malicious content; or (f) attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts or our systems. We may remove content or restrict accounts that violate these rules. ## 8. Reviews & Content Reviews must reflect your genuine experience. Posting fake, paid, or misleading reviews is prohibited and may be unlawful under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. By posting content on the Platform (task descriptions, reviews, photos), you grant TaskTeddy a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that content on the Platform for the purpose of operating the service. You remain responsible for content you post. ## 9. TaskTeddy Quality Guarantee Every booking made and paid for through the Platform is covered by the TaskTeddy Quality Guarantee. If a task is not completed in line with your original posting, our support team will arrange for the work to be corrected or provide a refund in accordance with our Cancellation Policy. The Guarantee applies only to bookings transacted through the Platform and does not cover off-platform arrangements. ## 10. Intellectual Property All content, features, and functionality of the Platform — including text, graphics, the TaskTeddy name and logo, and software — are owned by TaskTeddy or its licensors and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Platform without our prior written consent. ## 11. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Tasks are performed by independent Taskers, and except as expressly stated in the TaskTeddy Quality Guarantee, TaskTeddy does not warrant the outcome of any task. To the maximum extent permitted by law, TaskTeddy shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Platform. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other applicable law that cannot be excluded by agreement. ## 12. Suspension & Termination You may stop using the Platform and request deletion of your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account, with notice where practicable, if you breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent or abusive behaviour, or create risk for other users or Taskers. Provisions relating to payments owed, content licences, liability, and dispute resolution survive termination. ## 13. Grievance Redressal In accordance with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 and the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, TaskTeddy has a Grievance Officer for user and consumer complaints. We will acknowledge your complaint within 48 hours, provide a ticket number so you can track it, and aim to resolve consumer grievances within one month of receipt (and complaints under the IT Rules within 15 days). ## 14. Governing Law & Jurisdiction These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any mandatory provisions of consumer protection law, the courts at Chandigarh, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform. ## 15. Changes to These Terms We may update these Terms from time to time, including to reflect changes in law or in the Platform. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows the current version. For significant changes we will notify you by email or in-app notification before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. ## 16.
